Follow the M-Path: My new group coaching class

I’m proud to introduce a brand new group coaching class, a new way for people to develop financial skills, leave money anxiety behind forever, and build community.

I’ve offered money coaching for over a decade now. (Really, check out this post from 2012! The messaging has changed somewhat, but still.)

And in that time, it’s always been one-on-one or one-on-few—individuals, couples, polycules—with personalized work for their unique situation.

While incredibly satisfying, I’ve always looked for other opportunities to reach people. After all, while most people can rationalize seeing a therapist month after month, the idea of seeing a money coaching still is uncommon.

Plus, there’s a certain solitude in the work. Because my work with clients is confidential, there never is a place for clients to find other people who are going through the same thing. And believe me, we’re all going through the same thing.

And finally, while some people need personal individual attention, some just want a blueprint, a how-to—a path—to building wealth, developing resilience, and eliminating money anxiety forever.

With all of this in mind, I’m happy to announce a new offering. For the first time ever, I’m announcing a small-group coaching class. For reasons you’ll see below, I’m calling it M-Path.

And you are invited!

What is M-Path?

M-Path is my money/mindset masterclass. It is designed to give you everything you need to build and maintain wealth, and leave money anxiety behind forever.

This is a distillation of the work I’ve done with countless individuals over the last decade. It is, in effect, “my method”.

But it’s a lot more than that, because for the first time, you’ll be with like-minded individuals all working toward financial success, sharing the same challenges and cheering each other on. You’ll see how your struggles around money, and the conflicts that it causes, are not something you alone deal with. Instead, you’ll connect with others, all dealing with much the same issues.

And you’ll work through them together, in a supportive, emotionally-open, safe environment, where sharing and vulnerability is actively encouraged by everyone.

Why is it called M-Path?

Well, aside from the homophonic pun which I hope needs no explanation, here is what the M-Path is:

M-Path is: Money

Obviously, the centerpiece of this class is money, and developing the skills you need to manage your money effectively. I’ll be taking you through my process, from start to finish, on how to go from being helpless and adrift to having a full financial blueprint in place. We’ll cover such topics as:

  • Cashflow and managing expenses (the “b-word”)
  • Debt in all its forms
  • Savings and planning
  • Income and how to make/use it effectively
  • Homeownership
  • Building wealth

M-Path is: Mindset

It’s not enough to “make more money”, as you may have found out if you’ve started making more money and found yourself in the same money jams as before. It is vital to understand and take control of your mindset around money.

We’ll cover topics around mindset such as:

  • Managing negative self-talk
  • Acting wealthy versus being wealthy
  • Connecting with a partner over money
  • Dealing with avoidance
  • Reframing retirement

M-Path is: Motivation

I don’t just want to teach you lessons about money and then send you off into the world. I want you to get fired up! More than that, I want you to truly believe that winning with money is possible, that it’s not just something that other people get to do.

By the time you leave this class, you will be excited and motivated to make some changes in your life. You will already have seen the benefits of using my method during the class (and you will almost certainly make back the money you spent on the class) and you will poised to level up and make an even greater impact from there.

M-Path is: Mindfulness

I also want you to come away from this class with a different relationship to money. Learning how to be proactive instead of reactive, being intentional instead of passive, staying present when challenges arise, all of these skills will benefit you for the rest of your life.

M-Path is: Mike!

And last but not least, you’ll have me, Mike Pumphrey, AFC®, at your service. I’ve been helping newer professionals how to not only make money, but keep more of what they earn and feel less anxious, for over a decade now. I’m honored to help you on your journey.

Class details

M-Path is an 8-week small-group class. Each week, we’ll meet (virtually) for 90 minutes and discuss a different money challenge. Class will include instruction, practice, and small-group discussion. And you’ll get some homework in between sessions to maximize our time.

Active participation is required! Please bring a willingness to share and be vulnerable. You will get so much more out of the class that way.

Also, because community building is such an integral part of the class, all participants will have access to a private chat platform where you can share in each other’s successes and cheer people on. Let’s do this together!

And of course the starting date for the very first class will be Tuesday, March 21st at 4:30PM Pacific Time (7:30PM Eastern Time). We will meet every Tuesday at the same time for the next 8 weeks.
